Hello,

I am working a lot with an  excel report. I have the report working well but it can be very slow to run. Is there anything I can do to reduce the run time of the report other than reduce the number of channels?

I see that the exported data has a lot of decimal places, 10+ in many instances. Can I set/limit the number of decimal places? I have tried to do this in the display properties of some channels but this has had no effect.

Hi Racer123,

Where is the Excel document stored that you are trying to report to? Is this on the local machine or is it across a network?

Are you able to share your workbook or at least the particular displays, etc related to the Excel report so we can get an idea of how much information you are trying to report on. The decimal places issue you have reported seems an odd one to me particularly that I'd like to look into but it would be easier to look at the same workbook you are using to understand why you are getting this.

Many thanks and best regards.

Hi Rob,

The Excel doc is saved locally.

I can share with you a workbook with the exports and all maths channels required to run them, do you have a location i can upload them to?

In this workbook i have 2 excel reports, because i am trying to export too many channels for 1. the first runs reasonably quickly, while the second runs much slower, they both have a similar number of channels, however the second report consists of more maths channels. could this effect the speed? they both export many decimal places, far more than necessary.

I've sent you a PM with me details in to send the files through to and I'll see what I can find out.

Many Thanks,
