Hello,

I´m looking for the installation file of the pi-research club-expert software, to put on a new machine.
Does anybody have it?

Best regards,

Hi Carlos,

I have moved your post from the General section to the Obsolete, First Generation Systems section.

Club Expert Windows can be found in the following link. Note that depending on your PC you might need to run an older version of windows using a virtual machine.

Hi Carlos,

What operating system will the Club Expert be installed on?  It will be a struggle to use it on Windows 7 and 10. The CEW writes downloaded data to the program files area on the PC.  This area is protected on W7 and W10 so CEW buries the data.  It's hard to find and the other problem is CEW can't browse for your data, it must be in the program file area.  You would best running Windows XP with a 9 pin serial port for downloading.  I have not tried a virtual machine for XP so I would give this a try first before sourcing an XP machine.  For the serial port, a USB to serial adapter will work.  There's many of these on the market and you may have to tweak the settings for it to work right. I can help you out with this and any other questions/ concerns.  Thanks
Tom

Hello Tom and Cosworth Team,
I have an PI-System-2 Dash and the chance to get an old XP computer with RS232 port. Do you know if I need a license file for this software or is it possible to run it w/o it?
Unfortunately I do not have the data cable for the download. Is it correct that I need to connect the PC with the RS232 to the 5pin DIN?
Does somebody have the pinout so that I can build the data cable by myself?

Well, many questions. I hope somebody can help. 🙂

Thank you and best regards,
Udo
