Is there a version of Toolbox which has been verified to work in Win 10 64Bit? Having successfully installed on one of our machines we get a crash immediately when we launch the programme.

Cheers,

Christian

Hi Christian,

Toolbox 6.X and above should be compatible.

What error are you getting and which version did you install?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for taking time to respond.

I am trying to use Toolbox 7.3 the Dump Summary from Toolbox is below. I also get a simultaneous crash report from PI Data Access, but I cant open the .dmp file for that for some reason.

I am using Windows 10 N 64Bit with an i5 x64 processor.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Dump Summary
------------
Dump File: 4B92 - 2015-12-16-11-38-28.dmp : C:\Pi Research\Toolbox\Bug Reports\4B92 - 2015-12-16-11-38-28.dmp
Last Write Time: 16/12/2015 11:38:28
Process Name: Pi Toolbox.exe : C:\Program Files (x86)\Pi Toolbox\Pi Toolbox.exe
Process Architecture: x86
Exception Code: 0xC0000005
Exception Information: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Heap Information: Not Present

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If I open the dump in Visual Studio and run Debug then I get the following:

Unhandled exception at 0x50C513F1 (mfc110u.dll) in 4B92 - 2015-12-16-11-38-28.dmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000006C.

I have confirmed that the VC++ redistributable is installed.

Toolset is running just fine.

Christian,

Thank you for the information.

We have elevated the inquiry and we appreciate the information provided.

Can you try holding shift as you open Toolbox until the splash screen disappears, or until a crash occurs?   Let us know if that assist or not.

Thank you

Hi Mark,

The crash occurs before the splash screen appears and holding shift does not seem to make a difference.
