Hi
I have recently purchased a Juno SSE race car that runs a Honda K20 engine and the Pectel SQ6.
I have heard that the SQ6 can be upgraded to the PiCal tool software , but in doing so, all tune / paddleshift settings would be lost in the changeover ...Is this correct ?

I am currently running Descpro but if I can upgrade to Pi cal I would also be interested in switching from the current Aim data logging and dash to a Cosworth system and run the Pi Toolbox anylasis software .

Thanks in advance for any help offered .

I should mention that the ECU is unlocked .
Apparently it has settings in the ECU for paddleshift control that have been locked by Shifttec.

Apologies if this should have been in the SQ6 forum.

Hi cph

We will need you to confirm what software version is currently running on your SQ6 before we can advise on upgrading to CalTool.

If you are running later than v2-33, upgrading is simple. We can provide assistance with this.
If you are running earlier than v2-33 then upgrading requires a manual process and would be a chargeable upgrade.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom
Thanks for the reply.
I am not sure what version I have , but have attached a picture for your reference .
The model year of the car is 2008 if that helps at all .

Cheers

Hi Barry

Thanks for the picture. It is an old unit, but it may have been updated at some point in the last few years.

You can see the software version displayed in DescPro when you connect.

I can tell you that the last time this unit came back to us (2010) it was on code version v2-21, so this is before CalTool support was introduced.

Hi Tom
Thought that would be the case .
I am away from the vehicle at present but very doubtful it would have been sent back for upgrades since 2010.
Assuming it is the earlier model can you advise
- cost to upgrade ?
- will I be able to keep all current settings including the locked settings Shiftec put in place to control paddleshift.
- Will a Cosworth dash be a plug and play setup with the upgraded ECU
- What sensors etc will be available from the ECU to data log .

Thanks
