Hello everyone,

I'm working with an SQ6 with the firmware "SQ6v2-53:Turbo" i have an xp virtual machine with DESC Pro 3.11 build 51 and also the current version of pical tool.  I'm hoping a metafile exists for pical.

Also if this is an older desc pro firmware what would it take to update it to a firmware that works with the new software?

Thanks,
Jared

EOT is always blocked by firewall, be sure your firewall is allowing it through.. also be sure that you have selected the correct comms.  In the meny, Conn.   ection, Properties.  also be sure in the popup box for comms settings Monitor Only Is NOT checked!

firewall was not the issue. i could see live data and it attempted to pull the log but as soon as the progress bar would complete i'd get the error.  I tried both ethernet and serial and the outcome was the same.

i wound up having to use an ancient version of the offload tool in an xp virtual machine using serial to pull logs from the offload tool.  I could use etherenet on native windows 10 with the latest cal tool to tune the ecm.

It was convoluted and i hope i never have to do it again but it did work

Hi
Only times I have seen this is..
1. the Monitor Only is ticked in the Connection Setup popup box.
2. corrupted config file, make a new logging config.
3. Issue with Firewall or Anti Virus.
4. Sometimes I have seen an issue like an "overflow" when the logger is full, while this is rare, it seems to happen when the logger has not been downloaded for a long time. Clear all the logs (you need to clear the oldest (top one) first and continue one at a time. I also like to resend the Config after doing this.
4.  This is an old ecu from the age of the code, the internal battery could be staring to have some issue. When the battery is nearing end of life the logger will start to loose the config and the date stamp.  At this point the battery should be replaced.  Check Hardware/Set Time
5. Some older versions I had issues with Caltool and EOT open at the same time, this seemed worse if you also had Toolset (ICD/IPS setup tool) open also. Need to close all, have just EOT open, power cycle the ECU.  I use EOT 123, Build 72 flawlessly with Win 10 64 bit with latest updates.

Code version wise, I am also confused that you have a Metafile for Caltool for such an early version of code. As I am aware Metafiles were only made after V3.xx  There could be some issue with this metafile/Caltool/EOT, you should really update to the latest version, we are up to 11.16.    I can help you with this.

Cheers

i dont know what to tell you; i spent the overwhelming majority of the time with the car getting the software to work. the bulk of the work was done with the line graphs in the calibration software when i couldnt get the logs out. i tried everything i could think of; i could delete files in the current offload tool but not download them that was the only feature that didnt work.  the ancient version worked fine.

I asked support about an upgrade path once they gave me the metafile for the caltool but was never really answered. I only had the car a few days and it only needed minor tweaks
