I have noted a misalignment between the speed recorded in the video and the effective gps speed measured with other gps device (i.e smartphone with external antenna) and the speed I can read in the report of the circuit time keeper. The difference can be significant, for example in Monza 257 from the alivedrive and 267-269 from circuit or my other device
What can be the problem? Can I setup or adjust it?

No one can answer me? I have a doubt that the GPS is used only to display the position on the track and the other data are taken from the ECU/Dash. Isn't it?

Hi Enri,

Sorry for the delay in response.

All the channels in the aliveDRIVE are took from CAN other than the position (GPS) and Lat/Long Accel (Internal sensor)

Speed, brake pressure, steering angle etc etc are all took from CAN.

If you have a discrepancy with Speed in your aliveDRIVE check your CAN encode settings from the device feeding the information.

What is the car and what other Cosworth devices are on the car?

i compared the speed with a smartphone with and esternal antenna AT 10 Hz.

what other can I do?

thanks

Hi Enri,

Have you compared ICD speed to your alive DRIVE speed?

Can you send us your setup and some data please. You can email  Porsche.Support@cosworth.com and we will take a look for you.

If I remember well, the speed is aligned and .it is coherent with your Information (i didn’t have) that the data comes from the CAN.

  • which kind of setup and data can I send you?

Ok so your speed in the ICD is also out to your measured GPS speed then i take it.

You can open toolset and 'read setup from active device'. You can then send that to us with any data offloaded from the dash also.
