Hi pourry,

I have just uploaded a link to download the Pectel Card Management software.

http://support.cosworth.com/post/latest-software-release-announcements-and-download-link-for-pectel-card-management-9653664?pid=1303262351#post1303262351

Its quite self explanatory to use.

First of all you would need the .ip file for the ECU and code version that you are using. This is imported using the Tools > Import IP File. If you do not have this then let me know what ECU code versions and dataset type you are using and I can provide this. (show in the bottom right corner of Caltool when you are connected to the ECU or on the top bar if you have a Caltool dataset open)

You then need to do the same thing with the .ip file for the DB1 code version (likely to be the version attached to this email if it was purchased from us)

Then you can select your ECU Quantities in terms of channels you want to log by double clicking and they appear on the right hand side.

Here you can then chose your logging rates and then Write the configuration to the card etc in the bottom right corner.

Many thanks,

Rob

Hello rob thanks for reply,
I already get the software from somebody and it looks like ECU offload tool, easy to use.
But yes, I miss the IP files.

We are using SQ7DI turbo GDI
version 11.7.0.1 and we want to try soon the 11.16 rev 1 version.

For the DB1 IP I didn't bought it to Cosworth directly but the serial numbers are 1302 and 1318. Maybe it can help.

Hi Rob,

I am also struggling to get a DB1 RSHE working on a SQ6 (software 10.93.2, metafile 10.93.0.1, SN3058)

I have Pi Card Management 4.3.130 and IP versions DB1 v02-004 and SQ6 v10-093.

I tried with several compact flash cards: format, write config, insert into DB1. Status leds always go red (error) - green (ready) and then steady red (error).

Any idea what could be wrong or what I could try?

Best regards,

Mathieu

Hi Pourry,

thanks for the help, but it is indeed connected to can 1 with config on PC. The system worked before so I think something is wrong with the cards.

Hi Triple One,

Are you able to add any further details as to how you determine it as not working?

There are status lights on the top of the unit. Can you tell us what these lights are? If it is an issue with the DB1 or the cards then when you put the CF card in the red light will be lit.

I have provided a guide to formatting CF cards here:

Many thanks,

Hi Rob,

thanks for your guide.
I've gave a look at it since I have problems with new CF cards.

I need to prepare two more new cards , but I'm not able to have them working properly (always error led on) , so I was thinking about incompatibility issues.

Are you aware of problems with specific card brands?

I'm trying to use Transcend 133x 2 GB CF's.

Thanks

Hi,

Are you aware of any specific card brands or models that aren't accepted by the DB1? I've had success in the past partitioning 8GB SanDisk Ultra cards down to 2GB using diskpart.exe, but I've recently been unable to get the 8GB SanDisk cards. Instead I got 16GB SanDisk Ultras and prepared them in exactly the same way, but have had the same issue Triple One described above. I then tried 2GB 133x Transcend cards, and had the same result.

I've tried all the steps in the formatting guide above, but still the DB1 won't accept any of these cards. Pectel Card Management Software recognises all the cards and identifies them as formatted and configured, but the logger itself shows a red status light, then briefly green, then returns to red.

Any help or advice with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil.
There is a problem that is unknown with these 8gig cards. Some can be formatted and some unfortunately cannot.  Open Command prompt, then run command Diskpart.  This will show you the size of the Card. If the Size is 7629 the card will format and work correctly, if the Size is 7647 the card will not work. We have tried many combinations and formatting methods without any success. There seems no way to identify the card from packaging so it is just pot luck unfortunately. OR buy the cards from Cosworth, at least they have formatted and tested them.  I have many 8gig memory cards 😮(
