I'm working on a 2002 Indycar that is running on a Delco Decise ECU which outputs data via RS485 serial protocol to a Pi 4+ logger.  I am having some trouble finding the comms template info in the V6 software the logger is using to decipher the ECU messages.  Does anyone know how to extract this info from the logger or have the ECU comms template.

Hi Maciek,

The V6 Setup supported systems can't pull the configuration from the loggers, the files are stored on the PC and can only be sent to the hardware. If you need to recover the setup you will need to source the last laptop that sent the setup to the logger and remove the files. If this isn't possible you will need to start from a blank setup on you laptop.

Hi Maciek,

Are you looking for the ECU decoder file or a setup for the 4+?  If it's the setup, as mentioned above, you will have to source from a previous laptop.  Downloading the setup from the 4+ to the PC is not possible.  The ECU decoder file and database for each ECU is different.  The V6 create program allows the selection of what ECU is on the car. This then selects the correct ECU file and database. You will need both to make this work.  If you need these files, I can likely provide this and directions to install it.  What version of V6 are you using?   Is the Delco Decise also known as the Delco Gen 4 or something close to this name?

thanks
Tom

I’m just looking for the ecu comms info to configure a Motec logger to use instead of the pi.

Ok. Unfortunately, I don't have the structure of the ecu stream. Sorry.

I also thought about getting the data from the serial TX going from the Lcu to to the pi dash.  Would you happen to have that?
